Matt Costa è un cantautore californiano che ha iniziato a suonare la chitarra all'età di 12 anni.Appassionato di  skate,ha subito un infortunio che ha richiesto la riabilitazione per 18 mesi. In quel periodo ha trascorso molto tempo a comporre e registrare brani con la chitarra e un mangiacassette.
Nel 2003 ha pubblicato il suo primo EP, con l'aiuto del suo amico Tom Dumont, il chitarrista dei No Doubt. "Matt Costa" è al suo quarto album in studio che è stato prodotto da Tony Doogan (Mogway  e l'ultimo Belle & Sebastian),una delle forze creative del movimento musicale indipendente di Glasgow .
In questo album potrete ascoltare diverse influenze di grandi cantanti come Nick Drake in "Early November" , Bob Dylan in "Ophelia" o Donovan in "Laura Lee" . Matt Costa is a Californian singer-songwriter who began to play the guitar when he was 12 years old. He was a passionate skateboarder but suffered an injury which required rehabilitation for 18 months. Then  he spent a lot of time composing and recording tracks using his guitar and a radiocassette.

 In 2003 he published his first EP with the help of his friend Tom Dumont, the guitarist of No Doubt band. “Matt Costa” is his fourth full-length studio album which was produced by Tony Doogan (as a mixing of Mogway or engineer, mixing and producer of Belle & Sebastian this year), one of the creative forces behind the independent music movement from Glasgow.

In this album you'll be able to listen to different influences of other great singers like Nick Drake in “Early november” track, Bob Dylan in “Ophelia” track or Donovan in “Laura Lee” track. Also bands like Love in his fantastic “Clipped wings” track or Simon & Garfunkel in “Silver sea” or “Golden Cathedrals” tracks.
