HookaH & The Trenchtown Train is a reggae band, born in Livorno, Tuscany, from the evolution of ''The Trenchtown Trio'' who, since 2008, used to play an unplugged set of Roots Reggae, mostly in private parties or small venues. In 2015 HookaH starts composing the first original songs of the project and, with the connection with the other musicians the same way as train wagons, the Trenchtown Trio is turned into Trenchtown Train. The will is to basically preserve a traditional Roots Reggae attitude, but contaminating it with influences and sounds from other genres. The sound gets inspirations from pop/rock, beat, surf and beach music, expecially from Californian panorama. There’s a sort of connection between the traditional Jamaican mood from the Reggae Culture and a ‘Surfin’ California sound, with Beach Boys style vocals arrangements. ‘’RootSafari’’ it the debut EP, produced by Paolo Baldini (bassist, productor and Dub Master -> Dub Files, Africa Unite, The Dub Sync, B.R. Stylers, Mellow Mood...) at the Alambic Conspiracy Studio with the collaboration of 360 Music Factory Studio (Andrea Pachetti).
