Class of 77, born and raised in La Spezia, Livio Montarese a.k.a. Fernandhell. started his musical experience in the early 90's. Strongly influenced by The Clash, The Germs, The Damned and Stiff Little Fingers, he founded The Peawees with Hervè Peroncini (ex The Manges) in 1995. The punk band released three full-length albums and a bunch of 7 inches and had the chance to tour around Italy, the US (in 1998) and Europe (in 2007). In the late 90's, Livio began a career as gig promoter, working with many great acts and major productions, in Italy and abroad as well. At the end of 2017, he had the honor to release the charity 7 inches Not Enough reuniting the original line-up of The Peawees together with one of his all-time heroes on vocals: Mr. Mark Arm from the legendary Mudhoney (300 LTD ED - sold out). In 2019, Livio joined the local rock’n’roll sailors King Mastino, recorded his own track ‘Machine Gun’ and embarked on a twelve-date Italian tour. In late 2021, with no bandmates to play with, Livio rented a studio and recorded a couple of totally self-produced songs. The tracks are ‘Offside’, a mix of Pixies and Nirvana, and ‘RAPID.EYE.MOVEMENT.’ an ode to R.E.M., his total obsession. Fernandhell. is currently working on his first digital EP, due out by the end of Summer via Go Down Records. The live acts go by the name ‘Fernandhell. And The Gatten Army’.
